- Grated Gruyere Cheese
- Salt & Pepper
- 1 Pastry Dough
- 1 Egg
- Sabatino White Truffle Oil
- Sabatino White Truffle Sauce
- 4 Minced Garlic Cloves
- Spoon of Dijon Mustard
- Grated Gruyere Cheese
- Salt & Pepper
- 1 Pastry Dough
- 1 Egg
- Sabatino White Truffle Oil
- Sabatino White Truffle Sauce
METHOD
-
1If using frozen dough, remove it from the freezer and allow it to reach room temperature. Preheat your oven to 400°F.
-
2Trim the ends off the asparagus and butterfly them lengthwise.
-
3Mince 3–4 cloves of garlic.
-
4In a bowl, prepare the mustard base by combining Dijon mustard, black pepper, Sabatino White Truffle Sauce, and grated Gruyère cheese. Mix well.
-
5Sauté the asparagus and minced garlic over medium heat for about 5 minutes, ensuring the asparagus remains firm.
-
6Roll out the dough on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Lightly score a border about 1 inch from the edges.
-
7Pre-bake the dough for 8–10 minutes.
-
8Remove from the oven and spread the mustard mixture evenly over the surface. Sprinkle grated Gruyère cheese, arrange the asparagus on top, and add more cheese if desired.
-
9Whisk an egg to create an egg wash and brush it over the exposed pastry edges.
-
10Bake for another 8–10 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown.
-
11Remove from the oven and drizzle with Sabatino White Truffle Oil before serving. Enjoy!
