Classic Potato Latkes

Classic Potato Latkes

INGREDIENTS

2 Cups of shredded potatoes
1 Small onion, grated
2 large eggs, beaten
2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon of sabatino truffle salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 cup vegetable oil for frying

METHOD

    Begin by grating the potatoes and onions. Press out excess water from the mixture using a clean towel or paper towel.

    In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded potatoes and onions with the beaten eggs, flour, truffle salt, and pepper.

    Heat the oil in a large cast iron skillet over medium-high heat.

    Form the potato mixture into small patties and carefully place them into the hot oil

    Fry the latkes for about 3-4 min on each side, or until they turn golden brown.

    Once cooked, remove the latkes from the oil and place them either on a paper towel or a cooling rack to drain the excess oil.

    Serve hot with a drizzle of Sabatinos Truffle Honey or garnish with green onions and dip into Sabatinos Truffle Aioli.
