Smoked Truffle Baked Beans

INGREDIENTS

SERVES: 6

3 slices bacon, diced

½ white onion, diced

1 red bell pepper, diced

1 garlic clove, minced

½ teaspoon Sabatino Tartufi Smoked Truffle Salt

2 1/2 teaspoons smoked paprika

1 teaspoon dry mustard

1 T Worcestershire sauce

1/4 cup BBQ sauce

2 Tablespoons Sabatino Tartufi Truffle Ketchup

3 Tablespoons brown sugar

2 (15 oz) cans baked beans

DIRECTIONS

Preheat oven or grill to 400 degrees.

Set a large oven-proof skillet over medium heat and cook the bacon, until most of the fat is rendered and it’s brown and crispy, about 2 minutes; remove with a slotted spoon (making sure to leave the bacon fat in the pan) and set aside.

Stir in the onion and bell pepper, cook for about 4-5 minutes, or until the onions are translucent. Stir in the garlic, Smoked Truffle Salt, paprika, and mustard; sauté for 30 seconds.

Pour in the Worcestershire sauce, BBQ sauce, truffle hot ketchup, and brown sugar; stir until combined.

Pour in the beans and add back the bacon, making sure to fully coat the beans with the sauce.

Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for about 30 minutes or until it bubbles and thickened. Remove; let cool slightly and serve. Top with additional Smoked Truffle Salt if desired.

* Tip: Make sure to not overfill your skillet. If you’re worried that it may bubble over, you can place the skillet onto a sheet pan into the oven to make for an easier clean up.
