Grilled Cheese with Black Truffle Sauce, Prosciutto, and Arugula
This decadent Grilled Cheese features Black Truffle Sauce, Prosciutto, and Arugula. Perfect for your elevated menu or impressing guests with a gourmet twist on a classic comfort food.
Ingredients
1.5 cup grated Asiago Fresca (or other alpine style cheese)
4 tbsp Sabatino Black Truffle Sauce
4 slices prosciutto
½ cup arugula
2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
Method
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat.
- Divide the softened butter between the four slices of bread and spread until the slice is completely covered.
- Flip each slice of bread and spread a tablespoon of black truffle sauce on each slice.
- Divide the arugula over two slices of bread, with the truffle sauce side facing up. Then top each with ¾ cup grated cheese.
- Drape 2 slices of prosciutto over each layer of cheese, and top each sandwith with the other slice of bread, butter side up.
- Place each sandwich in the pan and cook until golden brown, about 4 minutes.
- Flip each sandwich in the pan and cook the other side, pressing slightly with a spatula, until golden brown and crispy.
- Cut each grilled cheese on the diagonal and serve.
