Grilled Cheese with Black Truffle Sauce, Prosciutto, and Arugula

Grilled Cheese with Black Truffle Sauce, Prosciutto, and Arugula

INGREDIENTS

4 slices sandwich bread
1.5 cup grated Asiago Fresca (or other alpine style cheese)
4 tbsp Sabatino Black Truffle Sauce
4 slices prosciutto
½ cup arugula
2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened

METHOD

    Heat a large skillet over medium heat.

    Divide the softened butter between the four slices of bread and spread until the slice is completely covered.

    Flip each slice of bread and spread a tablespoon of black truffle sauce on each slice.

    Divide the arugula over two slices of bread, with the truffle sauce side facing up. Then top each with ¾ cup grated cheese.

    Drape 2 slices of prosciutto over each layer of cheese, and top each sandwith with the other slice of bread, butter side up.

    Place each sandwich in the pan and cook until golden brown, about 4 minutes.

    Flip each sandwich in the pan and cook the other side, pressing slightly with a spatula, until golden brown and crispy.

    Cut each grilled cheese on the diagonal and serve.
