PLEASE NOTE: Whole Truffles will often have a little nick , we call this a "canifer". This is a man-made nick done to check the ripeness of the flesh, by the forager. The forager will make a little cut with a special knife called a "canife”, hence the term "canifer".
FRESH BLACK SUMMER TRUFFLES

Good morning everyone,
This is the first week of Black Summer Truffles (tuber aestivum). We received a very nice batch of these warm weather truffles this week and they feature very nicely formed round truffles. Even more attractive is the price. We will be offering one tier only this week of these Black Summer truffles: whole truffles.
While we had announced that last week was the end of the Black Winter truffles season (tuber melanosporum), we were able to secure a small, but excellent batch that we can offer you, so we are extending the season one more week. Prices are the same as last week and we have 2 tiers available: whole and cuts. This will officially be the last week of Black Winter Truffles.
